Receiving Wireless-M-Bus (wM-Bus) meter data, follow up
wM-Bus follow up
I did receive the AES key from the “Wasserverband Steinberg” - http://www.wv-steinberg.at . They’ve been very helpful, the key was delivered as KEM file together with the decryption pin. The wmbusmeters utilities allowed me to extract the AES key. Unfortunately I was not able to receive any frames with the nanoCUL device from the Kamstrup Multical 21. The reason was that it does send C1 telegrams. And the latest release from culfw does not include C1 support (only T1 and S1). So if you’re using the same meter, watch out to install a firmware that supports C1 on the CUL. I will use wmbusmeters
and the shell
parameter to pass the JSON meter readings to my home automation software.
